Supporting and promoting Complementary Therapies in Ireland since 1999

Policy

It is FICTA policy to facilitate communication and exchange amongst all complementary and alternative therapy associations in Ireland by providing a neutral forum in which member associations can meet and work together towards common goals, in the spirit of mutual respect and appreciation.

Over the past ten years FICTA's work has included participating

  • in the National Health Forum 2008;
  • in the HETAC development of Award Standards for Complementary Therapies;
  • in the National Working Group for the Regulation of Complementary Therapists;
  • in meetings with representatives of the Department of Health and Children
  • and liaising with representatives of the National Awarding Councils
